American Idiot the musical is a adaption of the Green Day’s album of the same name as well as taking into consideration some of their other songs which include "When it’s Time".

The story, centers around 2 disaffected young men, Will, Johnny and Tunny. Johnny and Tunny flee stifling suburbia and their parents' restrictions. The pair look for a meaning in there life and try out the excitement and freedom the city has to offer. while Will stays home to work out his relationship with his pregnant girlfriend. Tunny quickly gives up on life in the city, joins the military, and is shipped off to war. Johnny finds a part of himself that he grows to dislike, has a relationship and experiences lost love.

The show was first aired at the Berkeley theatre and afterwards at St. James theatre, Broadway. It has received nominations for the best musical shows and in 2011 it won a Grammy for the best musical show.

The demand for the show has grown so much they have decided to bring this amazing show over to the UK where it will be touring around the country finishing off at the Hammersmith Apollo in December.
