When pretty college sweetheart Elle Woods is dumped by her boyfriend for "a more serious girl" (i.e. brainier), the beauty decides it's time she competed in the smarts stakes. She studies hard and wins a place at Harvard Law School, accompanied, of course, by her Chihuahua dog, Bruiser.
