Based on Gaston Leroux's gothic Parisian novel, the theatre adaptation of Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber is a haunting tale of romance and desolation. Leroux managed to capture the atmosphere of the times in his original book at a time when France was riven with supernatural beliefs and spiritual mediums were the main topic of conversation for the chattering classes.
The Phantom of the Opera takes place in the Paris Opera House and is set in the 19th century. A man who is facially disfigured: the Phantom, haunts the building in a mask. The desperate and lonely Phantom falls in love with beautiful soprano Christine and hides her beneath the theatre in his lair. Although she initially seduced by the Phantom, Christine is already in love with Raoul, a noble and patron of the Opera. Her choice is simple: stay faithful to the Phantom or risk him killing Rauol.

The Phantom of the Opera, has a wonderful, nostalgic feel and is brilliantly staged, playing to packed audiences night after night. A ticket for Phantom of the Opera from SaveMeATicket.com will transport you to 19th century Paris where the sounds and sights of high opera will fix this haunting tale forever in your memory.
